I've struggled for over 10 years with my skin. I get both hormonal and food-related breakouts like it's my job. Too much sugar? Zits. Ovulating? Zits. Hidden Gluten? Zits. Random Tuesday? Zits. Basically, it seems that everything breaks me out and I am, quite literally, at my breaking point.
I've considered for years now going through my beauty regimine and cutting out all "dirty" products. But, it wasn't until yesterday that I finally did it. While I did spend a bit to make this happen, I believe my {physical and mental} health is worth every penny.
I was able to keep several of my already-owned products in my roundup, thank goodness! Here's what I was using and what clean products I will use moving forward:

Mascara
Was: L'Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise
Will: I am still TBD on this one...I just love so many drugstore mascaras that it's hard to purchase one over $10. If there is one I just need to try, please tell me!
Lips
Was: Revlon Super Lustrous Melting Glass Shine Lipstick
I know, it's a lot! But, with coupon codes (available when signing up with email) on the majority of my new goodies, I was able to keep my haul under $200. Personally, I think that's pretty dang good! And, just know, I will not be throwing away the products that I will temporarily stop using. They will be going into my makeup drawers and pulled out when and if I feel like using them again. If I do not see myself using the products I'm setting aside, before their expiration date, I will give them to my family and friends; they will not go to waste!
I want to at least give myself a few months of only clean products to see if that helps reduce my acne and clear up scarring from old breakouts. I will keep you updated on Instagram so make sure you're following me there!
Do you have a favorite clean beauty brand? Or maybe a few clean products that you adore? Let me know!
