August Boxycharm

My favorite monthly subscription box has arrived!

*can you hear me squealing with excitement?!*

You guys know I am obsessed with my Boxycharm boxes; I use so many of the products they have sent in my everyday routines. I don't know how they're able to put such high-quality products in my box - which I only pay $21/month for! - but I'll take it.

This month, I received a box valued at $144...here's what I got:

This "weightless powder sets and refreshes makeup for a silky smooth, invisible finish. Formulated with 50% water and glycerin, this powder creates a mist-like sensation on the skin, for a seamless finish." In other words, this is the world's strangest powder. I say that because it literally feels like you're brushing water on your skin - it's bizarre! While I haven't given this a true wear test yet, I already think I'll like this one.

This product looks magical; seriously, it's pink and sparkly right out of the tube! While I only used this once, I can tell you that the glitter does not transfer once on the skin - it looks more like a healthy glow. I don't think this was the most glowy product I've used, I can share those with you in another post, I thought it looked pretty! One item I do want to mention, my makeup broke up a bit on my chin which rarely happens so I'll keep you posted on this guy!

I got the shade Chic and, while it's a stunning pink-mauve-nude, I'll be giving it away seeing as I don't use lip liners hardly ever. Stay tuned for a formal giveaway date!

This mascara has me drooling; look at that packaging! I tested this product a few ways: with primer, no primer, on bottom lashes, not on bottom lashes. I figured out that I prefer this with primer and not on my bottom lashes. When I didn't use primer and applied it on the bottom, it ran everywhere - I looked ridiculous! I wish this gave my lashes a bit more fullness but I think this is a perfect mascara for a no-makeup makeup look.

I got the shades Cotton Candy & Iced Latte and they are so beautiful! I haven't used them on the lid yet (maybe an IGTV tutorial is in order?) but they look so amazing in the pan and in every Boxycharm video I've watched on YouTube. Cotton Candy is what you expect - a shimmery pink with gold reflects. Iced Latte is a beautifully intense bronze; I think you'd be able to swipe this all over the lid and walk out the door. My one final comment on this one is that it looks awfully similar to the Colourpop Super Shock Shadows...but I think Colourpop is still less expensive.

I think this was a very successful box! Make sure you're following me on Instagram as I post most of my non-blog reviews and updates there.
